Privacy policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what personal data I collect through the site wd.sutherland.ro, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It is written in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Who the data controller is
The controller of the personal data collected through this site is:
- Name: SIMAC VIOREL ÎNTREPRINDERE INDIVIDUALĂ
- Unique registration code: 55460227
- Trade Register number: F2026040846002
- European Unique Identifier (EUID): ROONRC.F2026040846002
- Registered office: Rădăcinești village, Berislăvești commune, Vâlcea County, Strada Dealul Boului no. 29B, Romania
- Contact email: office@sutherland.ro
2. What data I collect
I collect only the data you voluntarily enter in the contact form:
- name and, optionally, company name;
- email address;
- phone number, if you choose to provide it;
- field of business, current website and the message you write;
- IP address and time of submission, saved automatically to prevent abuse.
We do not collect sensitive data (health, political or religious beliefs, biometric data), and we never ask you for card details or passwords, through any channel.
3. Why I use it and on what legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote — the basis is your consent, given by ticking the box in the form, and pre-contractual steps taken at your request (art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
- To prevent automated submissions and abuse of the form — the basis is the legitimate interest of keeping the site working (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To issue the invoice and meet accounting obligations, if we become partners — the basis is a legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We don't send you a newsletter and we don't send unsolicited commercial messages. If we ever start a mailing list, we will ask for your explicit consent separately.
4. Who I share the data with
We do not sell, rent or exchange data with anyone. The data may be processed by the following providers, strictly in order to make the site work:
- the web hosting provider, on whose servers the site and the copies of received messages are stored;
- the email provider, through which we receive your message;
The data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area for any purpose other than the above.
5. How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not turn into a collaboration: 12 months from the last communication, then they are deleted.
- Data of clients with whom I have concluded a contract: for the duration of the contract and 10 years afterwards, in line with accounting and tax obligations.
6. Cookies and what is kept in your browser
This site does not use tracking, advertising or profiling cookies, has no advertising networks installed and has no traffic-analytics tool at all. That is why you will see no consent banner — there is simply nothing for us to ask you about.
So that it's clear what is kept nonetheless, here is the complete list:
| What | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
wdlangcookie |
The language you want to read the site in. It is written when you choose a language from the menu, or when your browser asks from the outset for a language other than Romanian. | 1 year |
| The administration session cookie |
For us only, in the site's administration area. An ordinary visitor never receives this cookie. | until you close the browser |
Both are strictly necessary cookies: without them the site cannot remember your language, and we cannot log into our own administration area. The law does not require consent for these. You can delete them at any time from your browser settings; the only effect is that the site will again suggest your browser's language.
The page's typefaces are hosted on our own server, not at Google. We moved them here precisely so that your browser need not request anything from a foreign server in order to display this text. Only one further thing is loaded from another company:
- Cloudflare Turnstile — the anti-robot check on the contact form, which stops automated messages. It is a security measure, asked for by us, not a tracking tool.
Card payment takes place on Stripe's pages, not here. What happens there falls under their privacy policy; we neither see nor keep your card details.
If we add traffic-analytics or advertising tools in future, this page will be updated and you will be asked before they are switched on.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right:
- to find out what data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it;
- to ask for incorrect data to be corrected;
- to ask for it to be erased (the "right to be forgotten");
- to ask for processing to be restricted, or to object to processing;
- to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before that;
- to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing.
For any of these, write to me at office@sutherland.ro. We reply within 30 days at most, usually much sooner.
8. Data security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Messages received are stored in our email inbox and in a file on the server, both password-protected. We apply reasonable security measures, but please do not send us confidential information or sensitive documents through the form — for those we will find a suitable channel.
9. Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I update the date at the top of the page. For significant changes, I notify active clients by email.
